One last push !

The 2018 season is starting to feel ‘around the corner’ and as always things haven’t stopped at Brook Lane during the closed season.

Once again, we have set challenging projects together with challenging deadlines.

The main projects are refurbishment of the Auto Roller, and the completion of the Club Kitchen.

Affectionately christened many years ago ‘Big Brian’ after Brian Armstrong the roller recently celebrated its 50th Birthday.

It was decided that the refurbishment to the roller could not be deferred anymore and a major upgrade making the Roller easier and more reliable to use than ever before was required.

The roller was duly dispatched to Hampshire a couple of weeks ago where the work which is approximately £8k in total will be completed in time for the new season.

For the the volunteers who help out on at the Club this is the least we can do to make the best of their valuable time.

The other main project is the completion of the Kitchen, no Cricket Club is complete without its kitchen and it is expected by the start of the season that we will be up and running serving food to players and spectators alike.

As always to all those who have contributed in the past I would like to say a huge thank you and if possible, we are looking for one last push in fundraising and donations to get us over the line.

When this is fully completed you will have a self-sufficient Club for your enjoyment and one which will be the envy of many throughout the Country.

Please - no matter how small please feel free to donate via the link below or directly by cheque of over the Bar.

With thanks

Tim Dickinson

Chairman
