Mike Lawrenson takes the reins at OCC.

It is a pleasure to take on the role of Chairman of Ormskirk Cricket Club with big shoes to fill following the successful recent tenure of Bill Rankin. I first joined the junior ranks in 1996 before progressing to the senior teams. Having grown up within the club, I have seen firsthand the dedication of volunteers and high cricketing standards that define us. It is a privilege to now help guide the club forward.

My aim is to maintain the excellence our members have come to expect, both on and off the field, building on our recent success in the League and National Competitions. I have a fantastic committee and captain’s around me, and I am committed to strengthening the club further by increasing our membership, developing and supporting the junior section, and expanding our social events to bring in more members and the wider community together.

I look forward to working with everyone involved to ensure a successful and vibrant future as we approach almost 200 years of OCC !
