LCB Knock Out Cup 2017 Shared

The scheduled reserve date of the LCB Knock Out Cup Final at Blackpool CC has again been affected by the weather, resulting in tomorrow’s (10 September) game being cancelled.

Following an inspection by officials from Blackpool CC, the LCB and a Northern League umpire, all 3 parties agreed the ground would not recover sufficiently for Sunday’s fixture. Blackpool CC’s own club fixture today was called off this morning.

The game was previously scheduled for last weekend, 3rd September, at Emirates Old Trafford, but was unfortunately abandoned after 9 overs of play.

In planning this year’s final, 2 dates have been set aside, allowing for other competitions to take place, and also considering the necessary resource within the LCB to appropriately stage such a prestigious fixture.

It is disappointing for all concerned, particularly after the enjoyment on and off the field at Emirates Old Trafford last week.
